Why epoxy lifts, and when you should not coat over it

A floor that peels at six months almost never failed because of the color. It failed because the concrete was not opened, because vapor was pushing from below, or because someone painted over a coating that was already letting go.

In Southern California, hot tires join the list. A cheap epoxy, without the right topcoat, takes the print of a car that sat in the sun. Soap will not remove it. It needs a diagnosis.

Our rule is simple: we do not price a repair from a menu. The visit deposit is fixed. The scope comes after we see how much has to come off. Sometimes one zone is enough. Sometimes we go back to concrete.
